After years of waiting, planning, and anticipation, in May 2013 I went to Austin Texas to become a Certified Cupping Therapist (aka CCT).  The conference was overwhelmingly amazing and I came back armed with new friends, a wealth of knowledge, and an ever-increasing enthusiasm to begin sessions.

Not to mention a few new “tools” including 2 sets of Silicone “Baguanfa” Cups (which are used for dynamic cupping, due to their flexibility and ease of maneuvering around bony prominences), a biomagnetic “Khangzu” cupping set complete with air hose and “gun” (which really does an amazing job “lifting” the butt, and removing IT Band adhesions, as well as blanketing the back) and a beautiful and delicate “Belletazze” facial glass cup set (these are smaller, lighter, and more gentle, perfect for the face, jaw, neck and pec region)

So, don’t wait… book a cupping session with me Mondays, Wednesdays or Saturdays at :

Cupping causes tissues to stimulate the skin and can clear colon blockages, reduce stretch marks, and reduce the appearance of cellulite as well as fine lines and wrinkles.

No wonder celebs like Gwenyth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston are such fans!

What are those crazy marks?

These are called “Sha” demarkations in the Traditional Chinese Medicine community. They do not hurt. They are not bruises. When the toxins and stagnation are pulled up from the underlying tissue (due to the negative pressure suction in the cup) they are pulled to the surface where the lymph system can then cycle them out of the body. They vary in shades of pink to a deep purplish black and can last anywhere from a few hours to a couple of weeks. They are not always a result of every treatment, but static cups, and collections of toxins will make the marks more likely to appear.

Suction is one of the most effective (and yet relaxing) treatments out there, and I am so glad to have joined the international cupping community!
